Thoughts on Summer

Summer might not officially start until June 22, but since summer unofficially kicks off Memorial Day I guess its here :) Over the weekend when we were in NYC (pics to come!) it sure felt like summer!

• A nice thing about living in DC is experiencing 4 seasons. I wasn't a big fan of the winter here, but the having 4 distinct seasons helps keep things interesting.
• The change in length of day from winter to summer is so much more pronounced here than it was in Texas. This morning the sun rose at 5:45 am! This makes it a lot easier to get up when my alarm goes off at 5:40 but I still can't believe that at such an early hour its actually light outside. 
• What I wouldn't give for a nearby Sonic. I am seriously craving a Sonic Lemon-Berry slush or Diet Cherry-Limeade. I've been drinking tons of Gatorade lately but I would still pay good money for some of that soft Sonic ice. How well do you think it would hold up in the mail?
