So much has happened in these past few weeks. We moved from Bolling AFB in Washington DC to San Antonio. We were happy to be moving back to Texas but very sad to say goodbye to our friends and neighbors. We only lived in DC for 22 months but it will always hold a special place in my heart as Jackson's birthplace and my first duty station.
We moved into a cute little rent house in the med center which features 3 beds and 2 baths all on one glorious floor (I won't miss our 3-story townhouse!) I use the term "moved in" loosely because we are living in the rent house but our furniture hasn't arrived yet. Our moving company has been terrible and we're not sure when it will be here.
This week I started my residency in pediatric dentistry at UTHSCSA. These next 2 years are going to be intense with tons of reading, research, and studying to do. Fortunately I think I'm really going to like the faculty and my co-residents.
Since I no longer live 0.7 miles from work I won't be able to come home for lunch anymore like I did at Bolling. Lunchtime feels a sad without my little Jackson to spend it with.
Jackson's babyhood is almost over. He turns 1 on Monday. I'm not sure yet how I feel about this milestone!
I'm considering taking a break from the blog soon. Now that we live near family I have less reason to post photos of Jackson. We'll see.
