Jon and I celebrated Valentine's Day a week early by going on our now-annual trip to Fredericksburg for the Lover's Wine Trail. We shared our trip with Jon's sister Christina and her boyfriend Jim.
This year our wine trail ticket included two boxes of gourmet chocolates, including this one of assorted delicacies and another box of wine-filled chocolate.
We had a great weekend sampling dozens of different wines from 10 wineries, and came home with 2 bottles. The most interesting wine we tried was a jalepeno wine from Comfort Cellars. It's meant to be a cooking wine, not a drinking wine. I love the look on Christina's face here. After sampling it along we sampled it mixed with clamato for version of a blood mary.
I can't think of a better way to spend a February weekend.
