Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, and especially to my mom Rita, my grandmother Evelyn, and my mother-in-law Cheryl. All three of them great role models. They're quick to put others first, lend a hand when needed, and give a kind word.

I got to see my Mema on Friday evening. She's 85 but still stays active in her church, gardens, and keeps in touch with all her relatives. What a woman!

I admire my mom for always making the best out of every situation. She has a lot of courage and is never afraid to try new things. In the past few years she has taken up raising chickens and rabbits.
Appropriately, my brother Brent's gift to her was a 50-pound bag of chicken feed. Very practical. My mom loved it.
The energy of Jon's mother amazes me. Besides working full time she keeps herself very busy. She teaches Sunday school, frequently babysits for relatives to give tired parents a break, and never forgets to have fun with her family and friends.
Happy Mothers Day!
