4 months old

Jackson is 4 months 5 days old. At his well-baby visit yesterday he checked in at 14lb12oz and 25 inches long. He is definitely getting much longer.
I recently found a pretty cool website called My Own Little Story. I'd been looking for a way to make a personalized baby book for Jackson and I think this is it. I can record Jackson's milestones and put in photos, then get it printed at the end of the year. Below are my notes to Jackson about his fourth month.

This month we can tell that you are a very happy baby. You hardly ever cry, unless you are hungry or tired.
You are getting so big! When you stretch out you can touch the sides of your bassinet, so we moved you into a pack-n-play so you have more room to move around. During the night you spin around, so when we wake up in the morning your head is never in the same spot.
Your favorite activity is playing on your activity mat. You love to bat at the toys hanging overhead, and now you can also grab. You especially enjoy grabbing at the animals' feet to put them in your mouth.

You no longer like riding in the car. When we put you in the backseat all alone you start to get lonely and cry. Sometimes I sing to you to make you feel better. I like to sing "The Wheels on the Bus", "Old McDonald Had a Farm", "ABCs", and "The Ants Go Marching One by One".
You are getting to be very expressive with both your facial features and the noises you make. When you're happy your mouth opens up into a huge grin, often accompanied by a high-pitched squeak or squeal.
You spend a lot of your day with your fingers and/or thumbs in your mouth, making loud smacking noises. You also drool like a sheepdog!
Most nights you sleep 11 hours straight, from about 7pm to 6am. Dad and I now feel much better rested.
During the day you are now napping in your own bed. You take 4-5 naps a day, lasting from 20-60 minutes each. You usually need to cry it out to fall asleep.
You love to go "flying". Your dad holds you up in the air so you have a great view of the room.

When we put you on your tummy you push up your chest using your arms and turn your head from side to side.
This month we took a 10-day trip to San Antonio to visit your grandparents. Jackson, you are such a good little traveler! You did great flying on the airplane and sleeping at Gammy's house. All of our friends and family who met you noted that you are such a good little baby and always so happy. Your dad and I agree- we are so lucky to have you. While in San Antonio you also were baptized at Concordia Lutheran Church and met your godparents Jonathan and Sarah McCoy. Sarah is currently pregnant with Graham.
