I love weddings- the happy couple, the vows, the beautiful dresses, the toasts, and my favorite, wedding cake :) Here are the highlights from this season, starting at the top.
Stephanie and Kevin got married at Holy Spirit in San Antonio.
Stephanie went to Churchill High School with us and marched in the band (I was in colorguard). She lived down the hall from me in Kinsolving during our first semester at UT then transferred to UTSA.
Stephanie now works as a RN and her husband Kevin is an accountant.

In late June my dental school friend Catherine got married to Kyle in Round Rock. Catherine and I both went to UT but we didn’t meet until right before dental school.
Catherine and Kyle met in high school through their church youth group. Kyle is also a UT grad and now works for Channel 4 News. Catherine and Kyle's wedding was classy and elegant.

Nicole and Brandon got married in July at the beautiful Our Lady of the Lake chapel. The stained glass windows were a beautiful backdrop for their Catholic ceremony. Nicole and I met through Torchlight Society, a women's group we were both involved with at UT.
Nicole is a first-year law student at St. Mary's and Brandon is training to work for the Sheriff's Department.
Their wedding reception included an all-female mariachi group and a grand exit on a horse-drawn carriage.
Nicole and Brandon's wedding was intimate and romantic.

On the same day Nicole and Brandon were getting married in SA our friends Dylan and Megan were getting married in Abilene. We couldn't be there in body but we were there in spirit!
Dylan is one of my classmates and close friends in dental school. He sits 3 spaces down from me in lab and he was one of my tank mates last year in gross anatomy.
Dylan's wife Meg is a high school chemistry teacher. Jon and I have enjoyed getting to know Dylan and Megan during this past year
Enjoying a game night at our old apartment
I know that Megan made a beautiful bride!

Over Labor Day weekend my close friend Sarah got married to Jonathan. Sarah and I (and Jon too) have been friends with Sarah since 6th grade at Jackson middle school. We attended different high schools but then both went to UT. At UT she introduced me to Torchlight Society, the women's group where I made most of my close college friends. Sarah was a bridesmiad at my wedding and I was honored to be one at hers.
Jon and I really enjoyed the rehearsal dinner- a boat ride on Lake Austin.
Sarah's husband Jonathan is one of the funniest guys I know.
The two of them make a great pair. Sarah works as a pediatric RN and Jonathan is a manager at Enterprise Rental Cars.
Sarah's wedding reception was a great chance to catch up with my college friends.
Sarah and Jonathan's wedding was a fun, casual, outdoor affair.

My mom Rita eloped in August to her boyfriend Ed in Las Vegas. To celebrate the occasion Jon's parents Jim and Cheryl hosted a dinner for the new couple and some close family.
The celebration included cutting the cake...
…..a champagne toast….
…and family pictures.

Yesterday my cousin Megan got married in Round Rock. Megan is like a sister to me and it made me so happy to see her so joyous on her wedding day.
I enjoyed getting ready with Megan and the other bridesmaids before the wedding.
Megan and her husband Jason met when they were little and his family moved into the house behind them. Their two families were always close, and Megan and Jason starting dating a few years ago when Megan moved back home to Austin when she finished her master's degree.
Jon and I had a blast at her wedding hanging out with my family.
Megan's two sisters were the maid of honor and matron of honor.
The reception was a great chance for me to get to know my brother Brent's girlfriend Kara better. Kara is a junior at Texas State.
After the wedding Jason was surprising Megan with a honeymoon to a resort in Mexico.

Today we went to the wedding of Daniel and Ameena. Daniel also went to Jackson Middle School with us and he was one of Jon's closest friends in middle and high school. Daniel met Ameena at Trinity University.
The couple had a fall-themed, eco-friendly wedding that was private and unique.
Daniel's dogs were the ring bearers for the event. Jon got charged with helping with the dogs before the ceremony :)
