I might be a little frazzled...

Finals exams have been going on for the last few weeks, and I guess you can say the stress is getting to me.
  • On Friday I dropped a glass trying to pick it up. It wasn't wet or slippery, but somehow it slipped out of my hands and broke into little pieces all over the floor. I'm usually not a clumsy person.
  • Later Friday night while make buttercream frosting I managed to spill 1/4 of a new jaw of vanilla extract all over the kitchen counter. Even after wiping down the counter multiple times, our house still smells like vanilla. Fortunately we both like the scent of vanilla.
  • This morning I was making two pizza doughs, one white and one whole wheat. During the hour-long rise time the wheat dough was in the microwave and the white dough was in the oven in a Pyrex bowl covered in plastic wrap. One hour later I started to preheat the oven and forgot to take the dough-filled bowl out of the oven. I noticed it once the oven reached 400 and my dough had partially baked in the bowl. I figured I had definitely ruined the bowl, but luckily the melted plastic plastic wrap came off without too much trouble (you gotta love Pyrex!). The dough, on the other hand, definitely was ruined. Since I didn't have time to remake the dough Jon ran up to the store to buy a refrigerated dough. So we ended up eating one pizza on yummy homemade honey whole wheat dough and the other on mediocre Pillsbury crust.
Needless to say, I am going to be one very happy camper on Wednesday when I take my last final of the year. In the meantime, maybe I should stay out of the kitchen.
