We spent 10 days recently cat sitting for our friend Elaine. Actually, it was part cat-sitting, and part trial run. Elaine is planning to move to Asia this winter to teach English for a year, and we tentatively agreed to "foster" her cat while she's gone depending on how this trial went. In general cats take a while to adjust to change, so it wasn't until day 7 of 10 that the cat finally got used to us and wanted to cuddle and play.
Jon and I have never had a pet together, so it was fun to have another "member of the household". My favorite time with the cat was napping together on the couch.
