Summer Vacation, Here I Come

I finished my summer oral rotation a few weeks ago and took my National Boards Part 1 yesterday, so I am officially on vacation until July 6. Unfortunately my vacation doesn't line up with Jon's, but I'm still going to make the most of these next 10 days. Mainly, I plan on relaxing, catching up on the housework I've been neglecting, and working on my digital scrapbook.
This morning I used a Christmas gift certificate from Jon for a massage. It was the first time I've ever had a professional massage, and it was definitely interesting. The 45 minutes went by really quickly and I felt very relaxed, but I think next time I'd rather get a pedicure for some indulgent relaxation.
Last night Jon fixed a cosmetic problem with my car. The fabric panels on all 4 doors were coming off and it looked terrible. Supposedly this Texas heat makes the fabric glue break down.

Jon's car had a similar problem last year where the fabric from the ceiling was falling down. It became a safety issue when he could no longer see out of his rear view mirror so we spent a few hundred dollars to get it fixed. With my car we used more of a do-it-yourself approach and stapled the fabric back to the door. It looks a little funny to have staples in the car door fabric but it's a definite improvement and was free. I'm very fortunate to have married such a handyman!
