Last weekend we went to the Gourmet Chili Pepper and Salsa Festival at
Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg. This is one of our favorite Hill Country towns so the salsa festival was a great excuse to head out there for a few hours. The grounds at Wildseed Farms was set up with tons of booths of local vendors, each with samples of their products.

Mostly we tried salsas but there were also candies nuts, whole-wheat paste, chili, meatballs, and olive oil.

Everyone got to vote on their favorite booth. Jon and I love salsas, so we liked almost everything we tried. Our favorite sample was the
Spicy Cheddar Meat-Ta-Balls made with
Texas Brew Honey Roasted Chipotle Salsa. We bought 2 jars our this delicious salsa to make the meatballs at home. The booth owners said their salsa will be sold at HEB soon. Yum. It's mild with a great flavor.

Our festival tickets also gave us admission to Wildseed Farm's butterfly house. It was really neat. It's not a large space but it is filled with native plants and flowers and
tons of butterflies. Very cool.

The combination of outdoor festival in July and eating lots of salsa left of a little sweaty, a little sunburned, and a very happy.
