Back from a blog break...and some big news

Right before Thanksgiving I took a big National Board Exam, so for the last few months while I was studying I took a break from blogging. Now that I'm done with my exam hopefully I'll be blogging more regularly.
And now for the big news: next August we're moving to Washington DC! I just found out that I was accepted into an Air Force general dentistry residency at Bolling Air Force Base in DC.
Next summer Jon and I will be seeing some big changes. At the end of May I graduate from dental school. During the month of July I'll be attending Commissioned Officer Training for a month in Alabama. Then in August we'll move to Washington DC and live there for a year while I do my residency (internship). Very exciting!
Besides getting to visit all the cool sites in DC, I'm also looking forward to moving there because I hope it's a city that our friends and family will want to visit. So here's the invitation to all of you to come visit us during our year in DC.

That is so exciting! I REALLY want to visit D.C. so badly. Also, Jordan is also going to that training next July for a month, but I'm pretty sure his is in Virginia. :)

What great news! Congratulations, DC seems like a really fun place for young adults. (I haven't been since the seventh grade, but I know a lot of friends from college ended up there and are enjoying it).
