This weekend my talented sister-in-law Christina is here to
visit. Christina is super easy-going and we've spent a relaxing few days together. Friday night we grilled out then went to Old Town Alexandria
for my favorite dessert : pay-by weight frozen yogurt.
Saturday we visited Arlington National Cemetery. The changing of the guard was a must-see on a visit to DC.
Saturday night we went back to Dogfish Head Alehouse- Christina's only request of places to visit. Very yummy.
Sunday we decorated the nursery. Christina was so helpful! She has a great eye for decorations. Currently the nursery still has a blow-up mattress in it, but I'll post photos soon. The nursery is the only room we've decorated in this house, and I love how it turned out. Maybe we should decorate some other rooms, too.
This evening we recruited Christina to take maternity photos of us. She doesn't have any experience with photography other than the normal point and shoot, but the results surprised all of us by how good they turned out. This will most likely be the last photos we take of just the two of us, so I'm glad we have photos to remember this time of our lives by. Thanks Christina!
