Baby Jackson trying out his swing for the first time. It's next to the window so that's why he's looking to the right. Also, he now has hats that fit him :)
Other notes:
He had his two week well-baby appointment and we got to meet his pediatrician. We really like her. She answered our questions for about 25 minutes- new parents have lots of questions!
Jackson now weighs 8lb2oz and his length is 20.5 inches. He has gained 10 oz and 1/2 inch in 2 weeks! If I had delivered him late like I thought the delivery may have gone much differently.
In two weeks we've already seen him change and grow quite a bit. He definitely looks bigger and more filled out. He is also has more awake/alert time during the day.
Jon and I are getting better at soothing him at night so he goes to sleep faster after feedings. Happier baby = more rested parents!
I feel like I have recovered from the birth physically. The stairs are no longer my enemy! This week I'm going to try to take some short, easy walks around the neighborhood. I think my body is craving some outside time.
We have some great friends and neighbors who've brought over some delicious meals. Between those meals and the ones I put in the freezer before the baby came, we won't have to prepare meals for a month! What a time saver.
I go back to work in exactly a month (on Aug 15). Time sure does fly! I'm trying not to dwell on how short my maternity leave is and instead enjoy every minute of Baby Jackson!
