Jon's parents Jim and Cheryl came to visit the last weekend in August. We enjoyed seeing them interact with Jackson and appreciated the extra help around the house. Jim and Cheryl were the 3rd set of grandparents to visit, and they were rewarded with being the first grandparents to see Jackson smile. (I haven't been able to photograph his smile yet)
Shortly after we announced our pregnancy, Cheryl announced that she wanted to be called "Gammy".
Gammy with Jackson. What a loving grandma!
Jim with Jackson. The weather was perfect for spending time outside on the deck
Jim and I spent a lot of time in the kitchen. We made several meals to put in the freezer. More specifically, our new deep freezer. I'm not gonna lie, buying a deep freezer did make us feel a little "old and settled down". But I love having it. I've been making extra meals so that during the week I can just pull something homemade out of the freezer without spending a lot of time in the kitchen.
Sunday afternoon we ate at Dogfish Head Alehouse. Going out for lunch with a baby is much more practical than going out for dinner. He slept/played in his carseat while we ate.
Three generations of Wengler males. There's a saying in our family that Wenglers are always right. This has made for some interesting conversations when Jon and his dad have different opinions on something. I bet those conversations are going to get a lot louder in about 15 years when Jackson is old enough to chime in too.
I love these photos!

I love Jackson's serious little face in that last picture. Such a cutie!!
I'm so jealous you got a deep freezer! That is on my wish list right now. Where did you find the best deal, and what size is it? My problem is I have already frozen too many meals, jam, cheese, etc. so our freezer is overflowing. And I have much more I want to do!
