Six weeks. My time at home with my precious angel baby went by way too fast.
Today is my last day of maternity leave and tomorrow I go back to work. I love my job as a dentist, and I think the Air Force is the right place for me to be right now. But just like any working mom, I know it will break my heart to leave Jackson at home tomorrow morning.
I'm trying to think about the positives, and if I have to work full time why I am lucky to have the job that I do. My first month back I'm only working 3 days a week (I'm using vacation days to ease the transition back to work), my commute is only 3 minutes, I'll get to come home for lunch most days to see Jackson, and my supervisor is very supportive of pumping. Plus, I know Jon is going to be a great stay-at-home dad.
Please be thinking and praying for me tomorrow morning when I wake up much too early (5:15- eek!) and get ready to kiss my baby goodbye.

Oh my goodness. How did it go? I know it is so hard to leave them at home. You couldn't be leaving him with a better person though... that must be comforting!! I hope it went well. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Give me a call when things settle down so we can chat!
