Photo of the day: Aug 17

I made it through my first two days back at work. Jackson, Jon, and I all survived. It was hard leaving Jackson at home, but I know he is in good hands. Jackson is already Jon's little buddy.
At work I moved into a new office and new operatory since I graduated from the residency. My office mate isn't here yet (she's coming from an assignment in England), so I have the office to myself for a few weeks. That's been really convenient for pumping. I've also been able to come home for lunch. I can't think of a better way to spend my lunch hour than nursing and snuggling with my baby :)
Jon has done great. The two of them have been on long walks: 2 hrs Wednesday, 1hr15 today. Fortunately our neighborhood is very stroller-friendly, and the weather has been nice for walking. Jackson has been really good for his dad- today he napped in his bassinet for 45 minutes! That's the first time he's napped in his own bed in literally a month. Hopefully it's the start of a trend.
This week I only worked Wednesday and Friday; next week i work MWF. I'm glad we're able to ease back into working mom mode.
